The GREAT Awards celebrate the most dynamic voices and boldest innovations in food & hospitality. Every entry is evaluated through a transparent framework that balances creativity, impact, and scalability with real-world results.

As the first-of-its-kind recognition platform, The GREAT Brand Excellence Awards 2025 are designed to spotlight restaurants and chains that have set new benchmarks in growth, creativity, and impact.

Our jury will assess each nominee based on the information provided in the nomination form, along with supporting evidence such as business metrics, strategy outlines, customer engagement insights, and design or operational excellence. The evaluation process emphasizes both quantitative performance and qualitative storytelling to ensure a fair and holistic judgment.

Recognizing up-and-coming restaurant brands that are reshaping the dining landscape.
Judges will look at innovation, customer impact, and early signs of scale. Parameters include:

  • Innovation & Creativity – Fresh concepts, menu design, and branding approaches.
  • Customer Experience – Service quality, engagement, and loyalty.
  • Growth Momentum – Early success, scalability potential, and operational excellence.
  • Impact – Community engagement, sustainability, and cultural relevance.

2. Growth Icons

Celebrating established players who continue to push boundaries with consistency and scale.
Judges will assess long-term performance and brand evolution, focusing on:

  • Sustained Growth – Measurable expansion across markets, delivery, or formats.
  • Operational Excellence – Strong systems, team culture, and process innovation.
  • Customer Impact – Retention, loyalty, and service benchmarks.
  • Innovation in Scale – Creativity in marketing, product, and packaging at national reach.

3. Restaurant Format Pioneers

Highlighting brands that have redefined dining formats, from QSRs and cafés to cloud kitchens and themed spaces.
Key evaluation parameters include:

  • Format Innovation – How effectively the brand leverages its category (QSR, café, delivery-first, experiential dining).
  • Customer-Centric Design – Ambience, accessibility, and user-first experiences.
  • Growth & Adaptability – Expansion strategies within format-specific constraints.
  • Impact – Shaping category benchmarks and influencing wider industry trends.

4. Fine Dining Excellence

Honoring the highest standards of culinary expression, service mastery, and premium experiences.
Evaluation focuses on:

  • Culinary Innovation – Creativity, authenticity, and execution of menu.

The Judging Process

Balanced Framework:

Each submission is rated across multiple parameters with equal emphasis on creativity, execution, and impact.


Transparency & Fairness:

Incomplete or misrepresented entries will not be considered. All evaluations are based solely on the evidence.


Evidence Matters:

Entrants are strongly recommended to include supporting evidence (metrics, visuals, testimonials, press coverage, or relevant links) to strengthen their case.


Holistic Review:

Judges will also consider the clarity, structure, and presentation of the submission itself as part of the evaluation.
